The Higher Certificate in Performing Arts Technology at DUT prepares students for careers backstage and in the technical areas of theatre, live events, and performance production. This one-year full-time programme at Ritson Campus introduces students to theatre design, lighting, sound, stage management, and technical production — developing the practical skills needed for entry-level roles in South Africa's performing arts and events industry. Only 15 spaces are available annually, ensuring focused, hands-on training with close mentorship.
