Requirements

  • An approved Bachelor’s degree at NQF Level 7 OR a 360-credit Diploma at NQF Level 6
  • The qualification must include two recognised school subjects:
    • 1 FET subject: At least 48 credits at NQF Level 7 (spanning 2–3 academic years)
    • 1 Senior Phase subject: At least 24 credits at NQF Level 6 (spanning 1 academic year)
  • Compulsory face-to-face and online lectures on SPU campus
  • 10 weeks of teaching practice in a selected school in Kimberley

  • Senior Phase & FET Teacher – Qualify to teach in Grades 7–12 in chosen subjects.
  • Curriculum Support Specialist – Enhance subject teaching in schools.
  • Academic Tutor – Provide support in subject mastery at schools or tutoring centres.
