Glencore Coal SA is offering bursaries in Mining Engineering for the 2027 academic year. The programme is managed through the Group Training Centre in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, and is open to students about to start their first year of study as well as students who are already at university.
The bursary is comprehensive. It covers tuition fees, meals and accommodation, prescribed textbooks, payment of any compulsory excursions or seminars, a travel allowance for the first and second semester, and a personal allowance. Selection is in line with the company’s future talent and Employment Equity requirements, and preference is given to applicants who live in the local communities where Glencore Coal Operations South Africa are located.
Shortlisted candidates will be required to complete assessments and interviews as part of the selection process. Applicants who are already supported by another organisation or company will not be considered.
The information provided on this page is for general guidance only and may be subject to change. We recommend verifying details directly with the bursary provider. Funding is not guaranteed, and eligibility does not ensure an award.
