The Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Power Engineering at DUT prepares graduates for careers in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of electrical power systems — including motors, generators, transformers, transmission lines, and switchgear. ECSA-accredited and aligned with South Africa's critical need for electrical power expertise, the three-year degree equips students to register with ECSA as Technologists-in-Training in Electrical Engineering. Opportunities exist at Eskom, eThekwini Municipality, Siemens, Alusaf, and across the private electrical contracting sector.
