Overview/Details

The MacMillan Foundation NPC is offering a bursary for the 2026/2027 cycle to Black South African women who are studying, or intend to study, towards a postgraduate degree in Architecture. The bursary was created to assist students with strong academic merit who lack the financial means to fund their studies.

The Foundation pays the bursary amount directly to the academic institution on your behalf. Payment is only made once the Foundation receives proof of registration and a tax invoice from the institution, and the bursary is limited to one year of study and to the allocated amount. The application form lets you apply for current studies, future studies, study fees in arrears, or another need that you describe and support with proof.

Successful applicants must sign a bursary agreement with the Foundation. There is no work back obligation in return for the award. Awards are announced on 3 December 2026, and conditional acceptance is pending your final results and a university document confirming your tuition fees.
