Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH) offers the RBH CA Bursary Fund for first-year students from the Royal Bafokeng Nation pursuing a Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification at a SAICA-recognised public university in 2027.

The bursary covers academic tertiary funding at accredited public institutions of higher learning. Funding is strictly limited to the CA stream within Accounting Sciences and is not available to students receiving any other bursary, including NSFAS.

RBH is an African community-owned investment holding company whose sole shareholder is the Royal Bafokeng Nation Development Trust (RBNDT), mandated to preserve and grow the financial wealth of the Royal Bafokeng Nation; a traditional community of 29 villages in the Rustenburg valley.

Shortlisted candidates will be contacted directly by 31 August 2026. Applicants not contacted by this date should consider their application unsuccessful.

Requirements

  • Be a South African citizen.
  • Be unemployed youth from the Royal Bafokeng Nation.
  • Be enrolling as a first-year student in 2027.
  • Have been accepted to study Accounting Sciences (CA stream) at a SAICA-recognised, registered public South African university.
  • Achieved a minimum Level 5 in Mathematics (Maths Literacy and Technical Maths are not accepted), English, and Accounting.
  • Not be a recipient of any other bursary in 2027, including NSFAS.
  • Upload certified copies of the following documents (not older than 3 months where applicable): South African ID, proof of residence (Lekwalo la Kgosana), certified Matric certificate (once results are published), Grade 11 results and Grade 12 Term 1–3 results, and proof of provisional or official university acceptance.
