The Bachelor of Health Sciences in Chiropractic at DUT is a four-year professional programme that, combined with the one-year MHSc: Chiropractic, prepares graduates for registration as chiropractors with the Allied Health Professions Council of South Africa (AHPCSA). Students study gross anatomy, physiology, chiropractic principles, chemistry, and histology in early years, progressing to clinical training in neuro-muscular-skeletal diagnosis, spinal adjustment, electrotherapy, and acupuncture. DUT has offered chiropractic education since 1989, producing experienced practitioners across South Africa's private healthcare sector.
