The BEd in Senior Phase and FET Teaching specialising in Physical Sciences at UJ is a four-year professional degree qualifying graduates to teach Physical Sciences to learners in Grades 7–12. Students develop deep knowledge in both Physics and Chemistry alongside the pedagogical skills needed to make these subjects accessible and engaging in South African classrooms. Physical Sciences teachers are among the most sought-after educators in South Africa, particularly in township and rural schools where qualified science teachers remain in short supply.
