Details

The Diploma in Policing at TUT prepares students for careers in law enforcement across SAPS, the South African Municipal Police Service, and private security management — covering criminal law, police administration, community policing, crime scene investigation, and law enforcement strategy. The programme is offered to applicants who are not yet employed in law enforcement but hold an NSC obtained in or after 2008, providing a civilian entry pathway into professional policing studies. South Africa's persistent crime challenges make qualified and professional law enforcement officers a national priority. The programme is based at Soshanguve South campus and includes practicals aligned with SAPS operational environments. Note: a separate entry pathway exists for applicants already employed in law enforcement with five years of experience.
