The Bachelor of the Built Environment in Architecture at DUT is a three-year full-time SACAP-validated programme that builds the knowledge, understanding, abilities, and skills required to register as a Candidate Architectural Technologist with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession. Students develop competencies in architectural design, construction technology, building physics, mathematics for the built environment, and settlement history — preparing them for practice in residential, commercial, and public architecture across KZN and nationally.
