The Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the University of Fort Hare is a four-year professional degree offered at an institution with a profound legal and political history — many of South Africa's liberation struggle leaders studied at UFH. This programme prepares graduates for careers in the legal profession across the advocates' profession, the attorneys' profession, prosecution, the magistracy, corporate law, and academia. UFH's location in the Eastern Cape provides students with exposure to the legal challenges facing rural and historically disadvantaged communities, developing socially conscious legal professionals.
