Overview/Details

PwC South Africa offers bursaries to aspiring Chartered Accountants (CAs) at Grade 12, undergraduate and CTA/PGDA level. The bursary provides financial support based on academic performance and financial need, and successful students may complete their SAICA training contract with PwC after graduation.

PwC bursaries are awarded on a sliding scale based on academic performance and financial need.

Funding may include:

  • 20% – 100% of tuition fees
  • Book allowance
  • 20% – 100% of accommodation (depending on financial need)
  • Once-off living allowance (for high financial need cases)
  • Academic achievement award (fixed amount paid to university)

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Intend to study full-time towards a Chartered Accountancy qualification
  • Be a Grade 12 learner, undergraduate accounting student, or CTA/PGDA student
  • Have strong academic results
  • Meet PwC’s selection criteria (leadership, teamwork, problem-solving and interpersonal skills)
  • Have a minimum B symbol for Mathematics (Maths Literacy not accepted)
  • Have a minimum B symbol for English (first or second language)
  • Have an overall average of at least 75%
  • Have an intention to study at a SAICA-accredited institution
