The Africa Wetu Foundation (AWF) is offering bursaries for the 2025 academic year to support South African students pursuing full-time studies in specific fields. The bursary aims to empower disadvantaged communities by providing access to education and enhancing skills and knowledge.
Bursary Coverage:
Tuition fees only
Fields of Study Covered:
University of Cape Town (UCT): MSc in Computer Science / Information Systems
University of the Western Cape (UWC): MSc in Computer Science / Information Systems
Northlink College: Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1–4) / Fitter & Turner – Occupational Program Boilermaker (CBMT Phases 1–4)
Must be a South African citizen
Under 30 years old
Pursuing a full-time Master’s degree or Certificate of Competency – Vocational in one of the specified fields in 2025
Studying at one of the listed institutions
Pursuing the qualification level for the first time
Demonstrated financial need, as determined by household income
Selection Process:
Shortlisted candidates will be contacted for a virtual interview.
Successful candidates will be informed about their award status by 31 May 2025.
If no feedback is received by this date, consider the application unsuccessful.
