The Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Industrial Engineering at DUT prepares graduates to optimise people, machines, materials, information, and energy in organisational systems across South Africa's manufacturing, retail, banking, and service sectors. The three-year programme develops skills in statistics, industrial drawing and CAD, financial accounting for engineers, and computing — complemented by human and organisational understanding that distinguishes industrial engineers from other disciplines. Graduates can register with ECSA as candidate engineering technologists.
