The Diploma in Public Administration: Disaster and Risk Management at DUT prepares graduates for careers in one of South Africa's growing fields of public sector specialisation. As climate change intensifies and South Africa faces increasing natural and human-made disasters — from floods in KwaZulu-Natal to droughts and fires nationally — the demand for qualified disaster and risk management practitioners at local, provincial, and national government levels has grown significantly.
