The Higher Certificate in Applied Sciences at DUT is a one-year NQF Level 5 qualification designed to bridge gaps in mathematics and physical sciences for applicants to the Faculties of Engineering and the Built Environment, and Applied Sciences. Students strengthen their mathematical and physics foundations through structured modules in Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics, while also exploring elective areas in Engineering and Applied Sciences.
