The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture majoring in Agribusiness Management at the University of Venda prepares students to manage and lead agricultural enterprises across the value chain, from production through to processing, marketing, and retail. Students study agribusiness strategy, supply chain management, entrepreneurship, agricultural finance, and marketing, gaining skills to navigate South Africa's complex agri-food industry. With the need to grow agricultural SMEs and support land reform beneficiaries, graduates of this programme play a key role in building an inclusive and competitive agricultural sector.

Agricultural Extension Officer – Advises farmers on modern farming practices, market access, and business management for government departments and development agencies.
Cooperative Development Officer – Supports the establishment and management of agricultural cooperatives, helping to formalise small-scale farming enterprises and improve market access.
Food Retail Buyer – Sources and manages agricultural product procurement for retail chains and food service companies operating in the South African market.
