The BEd (Senior Phase and FET: Economic and Management Sciences) at TUT prepares teachers to deliver Accounting, Business Studies, and Economics to Grade 7 to 12 learners — subjects that form the backbone of financial literacy and entrepreneurship education in South African schools. With South Africa's high youth unemployment and weak entrepreneurship culture, qualified EMS teachers play a vital role in equipping learners with practical financial and business skills. Students develop deep subject knowledge alongside evidence-based pedagogical practices and classroom management strategies. The programme includes school-based practicals in secondary schools across Gauteng and Limpopo.
