The Bachelor of Applied Science in Industrial Chemistry at DUT provides a unique blend of practical applications and theory, immersing students in the fastest-growing technological fields in South Africa. Students develop thorough grounding in chemical sciences principles, enabling them to conduct basic research, formulate responses to industrial challenges, and apply chemistry knowledge across the chemical, pharmaceutical, petroleum, plastics, food, mining, and water treatment sectors. Graduates may apply for associate membership of the South African Chemical Institute (SACI), affiliated with SACNASP.
