The Bachelor of Arts in Drama, Theatre and Performance at the University of Zululand is one of relatively few dedicated theatre programmes at South African universities, training graduates in acting, directing, playwriting, production design, and applied theatre practice. Rooted in the rich performative traditions of Zulu culture alongside global theatre canon, the programme develops artists and practitioners who can create meaningful work, facilitate drama-based education, and use performance as a tool for community development and social commentary. South Africa's vibrant theatre scene — from Johannesburg's Market Theatre to community-based performance — offers graduates diverse creative pathways.
