The Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Chemical Engineering at DUT is one of the most established engineering technology qualifications in KwaZulu-Natal, accredited by the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and internationally recognised through the Sydney Accord. Students develop broad engineering mathematics, chemistry, and physics foundations combined with specialised knowledge in chemical engineering design, process operations, and environmental management. South Africa's chemical, petrochemical, food, pharmaceutical, pulp and paper, and water treatment industries rely on graduates from this programme.
