The Bachelor of Commerce in Law (BCom Law) at UJ combines a solid business education with foundational legal knowledge, preparing graduates to navigate the intersection of commerce and law in South Africa's regulatory environment. Students engage with contract law, company law, commercial law, and taxation alongside core business subjects in management, finance, and economics. The qualification does not confer the right to practise as an attorney — graduates wishing to practise law must complete a further LLB. BCom Law graduates are sought after in compliance, legal administration, corporate governance, and commercial management roles.
