The Bachelor of Education in Senior and FET Phase with specialisation in Science at UFH prepares teachers to deliver Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Geography, and Computer Science to Grades 7 to 12 learners. South Africa's acute shortage of qualified Science teachers is one of the most urgent challenges facing the education system, and UFH graduates make a direct contribution to addressing it — particularly in the Eastern Cape, where rural schools often lack access to qualified Science educators. This programme produces teachers with strong subject expertise and innovative pedagogical skills.
