The Bachelor of Science in Biokinetics at the University of Venda prepares students to become registered biokineticists — allied health professionals who use exercise as medicine to rehabilitate patients, improve physical function, and manage chronic disease. Students study exercise physiology, biomechanics, clinical assessment, and cardiac rehabilitation, with practical training in biokineticist internships. In South Africa, where non-communicable diseases including hypertension, diabetes, and obesity are rising sharply, biokinetists play an increasingly important role in both clinical and wellness settings.
