The Bachelor of Science in Physics at Walter Sisulu University is a three-year degree at the Mthatha campus that focuses on developing a deep understanding of the fundamental principles governing the natural world. Materials Scientist – Investigate the properties and applications of new materials for mining, energy, manufacturing, and technology companies, contributing to South Africa’s industrial development.
Physics Educator or Lecturer (with PGCE or Masters) – Teach physics at secondary school or university level, addressing the severe shortage of qualified physics teachers particularly in rural and township schools.
