Details

The Bachelor of Arts (General) at Wits is a three-year double-major degree offering students exceptional flexibility to combine disciplines across the arts, social sciences, and humanities — as well as approved majors from other Wits faculties. Students choose from a wide range of fields including politics, philosophy, economics, sociology, history, languages, psychology, and literature, building critical thinking, research, and communication skills highly valued by South African employers. Wits's position in Johannesburg — South Africa's political and economic centre — enriches the BA experience with access to government institutions, NGOs, media houses, and cultural organisations. The degree also serves as a pathway to BA (Law) and the two- or three-year LLB for students interested in the legal profession.
