The Bachelor of Science in Life Sciences Extended Curriculum Programme at the University of Limpopo provides an extended access pathway for students who demonstrate potential in the biological sciences but need additional academic preparation before progressing through the full BSc Life Sciences curriculum. Over four years, students build proficiency in biochemistry, microbiology, ecology, and environmental biology, with enhanced foundational support in the first year. The programme is instrumental in producing life sciences graduates from Limpopo's rural communities, contributing to diversity in South Africa's scientific and environmental workforce.
