The Bachelor of Health Sciences in Medical Orthotics and Prosthetics at Walter Sisulu University is a four-year degree at the Mthatha campus that produces well-rounded graduates capable of practising as orthotic and prosthetic clinicians. Medical Prosthetics is the profession that deals with replacing body limbs removed as a result of accident, disease, or surgery, while Medical Orthotics focuses on the support and treatment of weakened or damaged limbs.
