The Cell C Bursary Programme is funded by Cell C and facilitated by Tomorrow Trust. It aims to give high potential students from under resourced communities access to higher education and a clear pathway into meaningful employment. The bursary is open to undergraduate students in Engineering, IT and Computer Science, Science, Commerce, Law, and Education, and is currently available in Gauteng.
The bursary covers tuition, accommodation, living expenses, textbooks, and equipment. Tomorrow Trust also provides wrap around support, including psychosocial services, academic and career coaching, mentorship, digital skills training, and financial literacy. Students attend monthly masterclasses led by industry professionals, and are encouraged to give back through volunteering and community engagement.
A key feature of the programme is that graduates have the opportunity to be placed directly into the Cell C Graduate Programme, with structured development and practical work experience to help with the move into the workplace. After graduating, bursars also join an alumni network.
The bursary is awarded for one year and is renewable each year, based on academic performance.
