Overview/Details

The SIOC Community Development Trust (SIOC-CDT) offers the 2026 bursary fund to support youth from the Gamagara, Ga-Segonyana, Joe Morolong, Tsantsabane, and Thabazimbi beneficiary communities. This funding is for post-matric study and aims to prepare beneficiaries for a sustainable economic future. The bursary covers tuition, registration, accommodation, study materials, laptops, stipends, and assistive devices for students with disabilities.

Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen residing in or originating from SIOC-CDT beneficiary communities.
  • Must not be older than 35 years by the closing date.
  • Must be accepted/provisionally accepted at a public higher education institution for 2026.
  • Must demonstrate financial need, with preference to undergraduates.
  • People with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
Field Specialisations
Agriculture Veterinarian, Environmental Officer, Agricultural Engineer, Food Technologist, etc.
Health & Clinical Sciences MBChB, Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, Biochemistry, etc.
Education BEd in various specialisations including FET, Foundation Phase, and Special Needs
