Overview/Details

The Shoprite Agricultural Sciences Bursary aims to attract and fund talented students within the Biological and Agricultural Sciences field. Successful bursars will have the opportunity to join Freshmark, Shoprite’s fresh produce division, after completing their studies. Graduates will become part of the largest distributor of grocery products in Africa, gaining valuable exposure within the food service and agricultural supply chain sector.

Requirements

Applicants must:

  • Be a South African citizen
  • Be 27 years old or younger
  • Be in their 2nd, 3rd or 4th academic year
  • Have achieved a minimum aggregate of 60%
  • Be studying towards one of the following qualifications:
    • Horticulture
    • Agronomy
    • Agricultural Economics
    • AgriBusiness Management
    • Any Agriculture degree with a focus on Crop or Plant Production
