Royal Bafokeng Holdings (RBH) is a community-owned investment company dedicated to preserving and growing the financial capital of the Royal Bafokeng Nation (RBN). In partnership with the Royal Bafokeng Nation Development Trust (RBNDT), RBH ensures the financial independence of the RBN and generates income to meet the social and infrastructural needs of the Bafokeng people and residents on RBN land. The RBH Bursary Programme for the 2025 academic year aims to support South African students pursuing full-time studies in Accounting Sciences (CA stream), Investment Management, Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting (CTA), and related Honours degrees. The bursary covers tuition fees, accommodation, and provides allowances for textbooks and meals, fostering educational advancement within the community.

Requirements

  • South African citizenship
  • Under 35 years old
  • Currently unemployed
  • Completed Matric or currently in Matric (2024)
  • Accepted or registered to study full-time towards a qualification in one of the specified fields in 2025
  • Entering 1st, 2nd, 3rd year, or Postgraduate studies
  • Studying or applied to study at an accredited public institution of higher learning in South Africa
  • Achieved a minimum overall average of 65% if currently studying
  • Not receiving any other bursary, student financial aid support, or NSFAS
  • Required Documents:
    Prepare and upload certified copies of the following documents (not older than 3 months):

    • ID document
    • Matric latest results or Matric certificate
    • Full academic record or transcripts if currently studying
    • Certificates of any completed qualifications, if applicable
    • Proof of acceptance or registration at an accredited institution (on institution’s letterhead)
    • Proof of residence (stamped and signed letter from traditional council or relevant local municipality)
    • Brief Curriculum Vitae
    • Motivational letter supporting your application
  • Selection Process:
    Shortlisted candidates will be contacted. If you do not receive any feedback, please regard your application as unsuccessful. All documents will undergo a verification and vetting process. Shortlisted candidates may be required to submit copies of their parents’ or guardians’ ID documents.
