The DSV Empowerment Trust invites applications for its bursary programme for the 2025 academic year. The bursary is open to current permanent employees of DSV and their dependents, supporting studies in any accredited course, diploma, or degree at recognized public tertiary institutions in South Africa. The programme aims to empower employees and their families through education

Requirements

  • South African citizenship
  • Black (African, Chinese, Coloured, or Indian)
  • Current permanent employee of DSV or a dependent (legal or financial) of such an employee
  • Studying or intending to study towards a tertiary qualification in any field
  • Enrolled or provisionally accepted at a recognized and accredited public tertiary institution in South Africa
  • The intended course of study must have a minimum duration of three years (excluding postgraduate courses)

Required Documents:

  • Head and shoulders photograph (ID size)
  • Certified copy of ID document
  • Certified copy of Matric certificate, ABET results, or Grade 11 final results
  • Certified copy of full higher education learning records to date
  • Latest payslip as proof of employment at DSV
  • For dependents:
    • Proof of admission or provisional acceptance into a tertiary institution
    • Letter from the DSV employee confirming nomination, including full names, employee code, ID numbers, and relationship
    • Proof of relationship to the DSV employee (birth certificate for children or guardianship order/affidavit for dependents)
  • Motivational letter explaining why you should be awarded the bursary and your choice of study field

Ensure all documents are clear and certified. Incomplete applications or missing documents may lead to disqualification.
