The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has announced that they will re-open their Cape Town Offices for Walk-ins from the 11th of October as the country has moved to lockdown level 1.
”Students around Cape Town can now visit NSFAS to be assisted with all NSFAS related queries,” said NSFAS.
The NSFAS walk-in centre, located at House Cloete, Brodie Road in Wynberg, Cape Town, will be open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
NSFAS has yet to make any statements on when their NSFAS bursary applications for 2022 will be open. In most cases, applications open in September and close in December.
”We advise prospective applicants to check our website and social media pages for official updates regarding the beginning of applications,” the financial aid scheme added.
If you need to contact NSFAS, you can do so via these methods:
- Calling 08000 067 327
- Emailing info@nsfas.org.za
- Sending NSFAS a direct message on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram
As a result of the COVID-19 epidemic, NSFAS had decided to close its centres in early 2020. “Due to existing health hazards and group gathering restrictions, the NSFAS Service Centre will not be open for face to face help,” they said in a statement released in March 2020 about their walk-in location in Wynberg.
