The Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEngTech) in Metallurgical Engineering (Physical Metallurgy) at UJ develops engineering technologists who study and improve the properties and performance of metals and alloys. Students engage with material characterisation, heat treatment, corrosion science, failure analysis, and materials testing — preparing graduates for roles in South Africa's mining, manufacturing, automotive, and materials processing industries.
