The Extended Bachelor of Commerce in Economics at the University of Venda offers students who narrowly miss the standard BCom Economics entry requirements the opportunity to access quality economics education through an extended four-year programme with additional academic support. Students develop skills in microeconomics, macroeconomics, econometrics, development economics, and economic policy analysis, preparing for roles in research, government, and the financial sector. Economics graduates are vital in South Africa for addressing challenges of unemployment, inequality, and economic transformation.
