The Diploma in Drama at DUT develops professional performers, directors, and theatre makers through a rigorous three-year full-time programme at the Ritson Campus in Durban. The curriculum combines acting techniques, performance practice, text analysis, theatre theory, arts administration, and communication skills — producing holistically developed performers with the creative and collaborative skills required by South Africa's performing arts and media industries. Only 50 first-time entry students are accepted annually, ensuring intensive, focused training.
