The Cisco Charitable Foundation Trust Bursary supports South African students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology at registered public or private institutions.

The programme targets the “missing middle” — students from households with a combined annual income between R350,000 and R600,000 who demonstrate both academic merit and financial need.

Bursaries are available to students in their first through fourth year of study, including B Tech (NQF Level 7) and Honours (NQF Level 8) programmes. Preference is given to equity candidates.

Requirements

  • South African citizen.
  • Combined family income between R350,000 and R600,000 per annum.
  • Currently enrolled or accepted into Year 1–4 of a Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology qualification (including B Tech NQF Level 7 and Honours NQF Level 8).
  • Studying at a public or private institution registered with the Department of Education.
  • Demonstrate good academic results.
  • Demonstrate financial need.
  • Preference given to equity students.
