Details

The Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Limpopo provides students with the theoretical frameworks and research methods to understand human societies, social structures, cultural practices, and processes of social change. Students examine inequality, urbanisation, kinship, religion, identity, and development in African and global contexts, building critical analytical skills relevant to public service, research, and social development work. South Africa's complex social landscape — shaped by inequality, migration, cultural diversity, and post-apartheid transformation — makes sociological and anthropological expertise highly applicable across multiple sectors.
