The Diploma in Human Resource Management at the University of South Africa (Unisa) is a three-year open distance learning qualification that equips students with the applied competencies needed to coordinate and manage core HR functions in South African organisations. Students develop skills in recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, and labour relations — all within South Africa's legislative framework. The programme is designed to meet the registration requirements of the South African Board for People Practitioners (SABPP) at HR Associate level, giving graduates formal professional recognition in the HR field. Admission requirements: National Senior Certificate (NSC) with Diploma endorsement and at least 50% in the language of teaching and learning and at least 40% in Mathematics or 70% in Mathematical Literacy, or an appropriate Higher Certificate in Economic and Management Sciences.
