The BSc in Physiotherapy at UCT is a four-year professional degree that trains graduates to prevent injury, restore function, and improve quality of life for patients across South Africa's enormously varied health landscape. Clinical placements span state hospitals, community rehabilitation centres, sports facilities, special schools, and rural clinics, equipping students with the practical skills and cultural competence to work effectively in resource-constrained settings. UCT physiotherapy graduates are recognised nationally and internationally for their clinical excellence, and many go on to postgraduate study or leadership roles in sports medicine, neurological rehabilitation, and community health.
