The Bachelor of Agricultural Management at the University of Limpopo prepares graduates to manage and develop agricultural enterprises across South Africa's diverse farming systems, combining agronomic knowledge with business management, economics, and extension skills. Students study farm management, agribusiness, agricultural extension, food systems, and sustainable land management, gaining a practical understanding of both commercial and smallholder agriculture in the Limpopo context. Limpopo Province is one of South Africa's most important agricultural regions — producing subtropical fruits, vegetables, livestock, and game — making locally trained agricultural managers particularly well-placed to contribute to the sector's growth and transformation.

Agricultural Extension Officer – Advises smallholder and commercial farmers on production practices, market access, and input management for the Limpopo Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and national extension services.
Farm Manager – Oversees commercial farming operations in crop production, livestock, or horticulture, managing staff, budgets, and production systems on farms across South Africa’s diverse agricultural regions.
Agribusiness Manager – Manages the business functions of farming cooperatives, agri-processing facilities, and input supply companies in Limpopo and other provinces.
Agricultural Finance Officer – Provides agri-finance products and supports loan assessment for farmers through the Land Bank, commercial banks, and agricultural development finance institutions.
Rural Development Officer – Implements agricultural support and rural livelihoods programmes for government departments, NGOs, and international development organisations in South Africa’s rural areas.
