The Bachelor of Education in Senior Phase and FET Teaching, majoring in Mathematics, Science and Technology, at the University of Limpopo prepares graduates to teach Mathematics, Physical Sciences, and Technology to learners in Grades 7–12. Students develop deep subject mastery alongside evidence-based pedagogy and practical skills in science laboratory teaching, equipping them to inspire the next generation of South African engineers, scientists, and technologists. Given that South Africa consistently underperforms in international mathematics and science assessments, qualified STEM teachers — particularly those who can serve rural communities — are among the most urgently needed professionals in the country.
