The Bachelor of Accounting Sciences at Walter Sisulu University is a four-year degree at the Mthatha campus accredited by the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA). It is designed as the undergraduate route towards the Chartered Accountant CA(SA) designation, preparing graduates to enter a Certificate in the Theory of Accounting (CTA) programme. Financial Director or CFO – Advance into executive finance leadership in listed companies, government-owned entities, or multinational corporations operating in South Africa.
Forensic Accountant – Investigate financial fraud, asset misappropriation, and money laundering, working with law enforcement, the NPA, or specialist forensic firms.
Investment Analyst – Analyse company financials and sector data to support investment decisions in asset management, private equity, or development finance institutions such as the PIC.
