The Bachelor of Science in Dietetics and Nutrition at UWC prepares registered dietitians to address South Africa's complex nutritional challenges — from childhood malnutrition in townships to the growing epidemic of diabetes and obesity in urban populations. Students develop clinical nutrition expertise alongside strong community health skills, trained to work in hospitals, community clinics, schools, and the food industry. UWC's programme is particularly responsive to the nutritional realities of the Western Cape's diverse communities.
