The Bachelor of Health Sciences in Clinical Technology at TUT (Arcadia Campus) trains students in the technical operation of life-support and diagnostic equipment within clinical specialities such as cardiology, nephrology, pulmonology, and neurophysiology. Clinical Technologists are registered with the HPCSA and work directly with physicians in intensive care units, dialysis centres, and cardiac catheterisation laboratories. As South Africa's private hospital sector expands and public hospitals upgrade their equipment, demand for clinical technologists continues to grow.
