The Diploma in Traffic Safety and Municipal Police Management at TUT prepares students for careers in road traffic law enforcement, municipal policing, and traffic safety management — a sector that is critical to reducing South Africa's among the highest road fatality rates in the world. The programme covers traffic law, accident investigation, road safety management, licensing and vehicle registration, and metro police administration. Offered at Soshanguve South and Polokwane campuses, it serves both applicants with a National Senior Certificate obtained after 2008 and in-service law enforcement professionals. Graduates pursue roles with provincial traffic departments, metropolitan and municipal police services, and the Road Traffic Management Corporation.
