2027 Tomorrow Trust Bursary

Overview/Details

The Tomorrow Trust STEM Bursary supports students from under-resourced communities pursuing degrees in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Science at South African higher education institutions in Gauteng, Western Cape, Limpopo, and KwaZulu-Natal.

The bursary package covers tuition, accommodation, living costs, textbooks, and essential equipment. Beyond financial assistance, every recipient receives psychosocial support, academic and career coaching, mentorship, digital skills training, and financial literacy support tailored to their individual journey.

Students are further developed through structured academic guidance, career pathways, and monthly masterclasses led by industry specialists, building resilience and independence year on year.

Tomorrow Trust fosters leadership and social responsibility through volunteerism, networking opportunities, vacation work placements, and access to a peer and alumni network. Graduates join a lifelong community equipped not only with qualifications but with the confidence and mindset to make a lasting impact.

Requirements

  • Be studying or planning to study Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or Science at a higher education institution.
  • Be based in or studying within Gauteng, Western Cape, Limpopo, or KwaZulu-Natal.
  • Come from an under-resourced community with demonstrated financial need.
  • Provide a valid South African ID document.
  • Submit current academic records or transcripts.
  • Provide proof of registration or acceptance at a tertiary institution.
  • Provide proof of household income (e.g. last 3 salary or wage payslips, affidavit of unemployment, or death certificate where applicable).
  • Submit a motivation letter, at least one reference letter, and a CV.
