Magalies Water is offering bursaries to South African youth aged 18 to 35 years as part of its youth development initiative. The bursaries are available for qualifications from N4 level through to Bachelor’s Degrees (NQF6 and above) in water-related and technical fields. The bursary is aimed at supporting previously disadvantaged individuals, women, and people with disabilities. The bursary covers tuition and is applicable to studies at any accredited and registered South African institution of higher learning.

Requirements

  • Must be a South African citizen
  • Must be between 18 and 35 years old
  • Must be accepted or planning to study at an accredited South African tertiary institution
  • Must have achieved a minimum of 65% in Grade 12
  • Must study in one of the approved fields (see below)
  • Preference given to:
    • Previously disadvantaged individuals
    • Females
    • People with disabilities

  • Mechanical Engineering (N4–N6 / Diploma / B Degree)
  • Electrical Engineering (N4–N6 / Diploma / B Degree)
  • Civil Engineering (N4–N6 / Diploma / B Degree)
  • Water Care (Diploma / Advanced Diploma)
  • Chemistry / Analytical Chemistry (Diploma / B Degree)
  • Biotechnology / Microbiology (Diploma / B Degree)
  • Financial Accounting (B Degree)
