The Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSiRA) is a statutory body established to regulate the private security industry in South Africa. As part of its Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives, PSiRA offers bursaries to support the education of children or legal dependents of registered and active security officers. For the 2025 academic year, the bursary is available to students pursuing any field of study at Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) colleges across South Africa. The programme aims to alleviate financial barriers, providing up to R12,000 per learner for an 18-month qualification, thereby fostering educational advancement within the private security community.
The information provided on this page is for general guidance only and may be subject to change. We recommend verifying details directly with the bursary provider. Funding is not guaranteed, and eligibility does not ensure an award.
